Visit To Freedom Foundation

One thing that I like about our office, is that, it not only helps you develop as a better professional but also as a better person. Apart from the professional side, it also has a personal side, in form of Grants, Goal etc... these programs are a step to help the poor, the needy, the orphans , the ill , the old... everyone who needs help financially or emotionally... As a part of the Goal program, every Sunday we visit an place called "Freedom Foundation" .

Freedom Foundation works in the field of Alcoholism/Drug addiction and AIDS. AIDS - the most feared sexual illness.... we go and spend some time with the kids who are tested HIV positives.. This foundation has kids from the age of 1 and half to 14 yrs. Its a small home for them, where they study, play, stay together and fight their illness.

The very first time I stepped in the gates of this foundation, Kids came running to us.. They got their books so that we could teach them, play with them.. As if they had been waiting for this Sunday ever since the week began. Those 4 hours of my stay with those kids was worth every second.. their smile taught me the truth of life.. It made me think.. that everyday we get up and hurry to work, curse the traffic, the driver. Once in office, we work hard to get things done, gossips about others, work under tension, crib about so many things in life and finally at the end of day, get tired and sleep. Again the next day the same routine follows. What is it that we are running after... what is it that we have achieved.. We might have earned money, fame... but have lost those endless minutes, to appreciate things around us, to thank the people who love us, to be there for our dear ones when they needed us. We have lived too fast... we have failed to realize when we past twenties and now nearing thirties... These children are orphans and they are ill... but still they enjoy their life, every minute of their life...they have no parents to love them, no money, no fame... yet they live with a hope, that someday everything will be fine. Someday even their desires will be fulfilled... Someday their prayers will be answered... Someday they will win the fight of death... Someday life will be good to them.
